Also ranks 7th in career steals and 10th in assists … 2014-15: Became full-time starter alongside 3 players who would be drafted in the spring –Shoni; A.Slaughter, and A.Taylor. Ranked 2nd/4th, respectively, in ACC in steals and assists. Closed career with three-straight, double-digit scoring efforts in NCAAs … 2013-14: In a reserve role, finished 2nd among Cards in steals. Delivered game-tying layups that led to OT wins vs. Okla. and Fla. State; and in NCAA tourney posted double-digit points vs. Idaho and Iowa … 2012-13: Second on team in 3PFG percentage and steals as she helped U of L advance to national championship game vs. Uconn. Tied a season high with 15 points vs. Tennessee in the NCAA Elite Eight win … 2011-2012: Saw action in 30 games as a frosh … NOTEABLE: Has, along with Shoni, been very active in providing inspiration to Native-American girls. Earned degree in sociology in 3 years (3.5 GPA) and is preparing to publish a book this spring. Parents, Rick Schimmel and Cecilee Moses, raised 7 seven children on the Confederated Tribes of Umatilla Indiana Reservation in Oregon, then in Portland, before moving to New Mexico, where Cecilee now coaches a girls team.
